For those who may have missed our event in Sydney in September, we hosted Katharine McLennan who discussed strategies on how an organisation prepares their talent for the future of work.

Knowledge and strategy have become commodities that can easily be discoverable and passed on within hours between competitors across the world. The difference is talent. The right talent for now and skill development for the future is the key to success. McKinsey has said 14 per cent of the global workforce will need to switch their occupational categories due to the impact of automation (McKinsey, 2017). What is HR’s role to keep organisations vibrant and sustainable?

In other news, Deakin Unviersity is launching their two week course on the platform FutureLearn, Transforming Digital Learning: Learning Design Meets Service Design. As learners are shifting the way they learn in the fourth industrial age, Deakin has responded to this change in learner needs by educating the educators.

Best regards
